UCLA SCHOOL OF LAW

THE 2013-2015 BERNARD A. AND LENORE S. GREENBERG
LAW REVIEW FELLOWSHIP

The UCLA School of Law is pleased to offer a two-year fellowship designed to attract UCLA law graduates who were members of the UCLA Law Review and who are interested in pursuing a career in law teaching.  The two-year fellowship will commence on July 1, 2013 and end June 30, 2015.

Program
The Greenberg Fellow will be expected to teach at least two courses during the term of the fellowship and produce one legal academic work of publishable quality during each year of the funding.  Fellows will receive substantial faculty assistance with their scholarly writing, and will participate in the intellectual life of the law school, including faculty workshops and colloquia.

Qualifications
A JD from UCLA School of Law and membership in the UCLA Law Review are required.  Applicants should have a strong law school record and have demonstrated an outstanding aptitude for independent legal research, preferably having published a note in the UCLA Law Review during law school.  Fellows will be chosen on the basis of their demonstrated commitment to a scholarly career, the quality of their research proposal, and an assessment of their potential for success on the academic market.

The law school is an equal opportunity employer and has a special interest in enriching its intellectual environment through further diversifying the range of perspectives represented within the faculty.

Support for the Fellowship comes from Bernard Greenberg ’53, JD ‘58 and Lenore Greenberg ’57, both of whom are longtime supporters of UCLA.

Bernard is currently a member of the UCLA Law Board of Advisors, served as editor-in-chief of Volume 5 of the UCLA Law Review, was a teaching fellow at Harvard, and served on the UCLA Law faculty as an adjunct professor. Both Bernard and Lenore are serious patrons of the arts in Los Angeles, and Bernard maintains a private law practice in Beverly Hills.  The Greenbergs established this program in recognition of the importance to UCLA Law of increasing the number of alumni who pursue academic careers.
