The UCLA Law Review proudly presents its Spring Scholar Forum, featuring UCLA Professor Joanna C. Schwartz.  Professor Schwartz’s article, How Governments Pay: Lawsuits, Budgets, and Police Reform, will be published in Volume 63, Issue 5, of the UCLA Law Review.

At the Scholar Forum, Professor Schwartz will present her article, the first nationwide study to look at how city, county, and state governments finance lawsuits against law enforcement. UCLA Professor Jon Michaels and Peter Bibring, Senior Staff Attorney with the ACLU of Southern California, will offer responses.
