UCLA Law Review 2026 Symposium: Call for Proposals |
Volume 73 of the UCLA Law Review is excited to open submissions for our 2026 Symposium. This Symposium aims to provide a platform for scholarly discourse that critically examines the ways in which the law intersects with and perpetuates injustice.
We invite scholars and practitioners to submit proposals that challenge conventional legal wisdom, and provide insights towards effecting change. Topics we will prioritize include, but are not limited to: workers’ rights, racial inequities broadly, housing, environmental and energy justice, discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, economic inequality, disability rights and accessibility, Indigenous rights and sovereignty, and surveillance and policing. We encourage submissions to be bold in their vision and transformative in their mission. Please use the form below to provide information about your proposed topic, responding to the questions with as much detail as possible. The Symposium will likely be held February 5-6, 2026 and will be in person. Submissions are open to UCLA Law faculty, co-sponsors who are able to partner with at least one sponsor from UCLA Law School, or applicants amenable to working with a UCLA Law faculty co-sponsor. This application will be open until Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:59pm. We will review applications on a rolling basis. We will contact you if you are selected for an interview no later than early July. We will send an update if this timeline changes. If you have any questions, or have difficulty with the submission form, please email Riley Shapiro and Isa Reisner at LRSymposium@lawnet.ucla.edu.
